- May 2008: Beta Release of WebChange Pro
- A beta release of WebChange Pro has now been made available for download
by those who have bought an earlier version of the software, from:
www.webchange.co.uk/ru/
Users will need their existing username and password to access the download and should get in touch if there is any problem accessing the page (including as much relevant detail as possible - full name, email address used at the time of purchase, and so on).
- April 2008: New Mailing List for WebChange
- With the new version of WebChange for RISC OS (which will now be called WebChange Pro) nearing a point where it can be released, a new support mailing list has been set up for the software. This list will be open to anyone, regardless of whether or not they have bought WebChange. Full details of the mailing list can be found at www.riscository.co.uk/mailman/listinfo/webchange-list_riscository.co.uk
- February 2008: Seek'n'Link released
- After much unavoidable delay, I am pleased to announce the release of Seek'n'Link for RISC OS. This application is designed to search through html files (but can also search through other types) and presents the results in a html file, which is filer_run so that it is launched into your browser of choice.
- February 2008: Wakefield Show
- I am pleased to be able to announce that I have booked at stand at this year's Wakefield Show, to be held on 26th April 2008 at The Cedar Court Hotel.
- November 2007: New website design
- As the excellent NetSurf web browser has reached and even surpasse its version 1.0 release, bringing an excellent level of CSS support to the RISC OS platform, the Soft Rock Software website has been updated to use CSS itself. Naturally, the site degrades gracefully and remains functional in older, less capable RISC OS browsers such as Fresco, though it obviously takes on a much simpler appearance in them.
- July 2007: Quicksand - a new, free game for RISC OS
- As an interlude from work on WebChange, and so as to avoid rushing development of the latter in the run up to the Wakefield RISC OS show in May, I decided to write a quick and easy text adventure game instead. This game, Quicksand, was demonstrated at Wakefield in its incomplete form, but as of 1st July 2007, it is now available from this website as a free download!
- February 2007: SRSLibrary is now 32bit
- The SRSLibrary relocatable module has now been updated and is compatible with 32bit machines such as the A9Home and the IyonixPC. This in turn means that any old items from Soft Rock Software that were written in BBC BASIC and which used this module - most notably, Trellis - are now themselves able to be used on 32bit machines.
